APPI uniting the global Pilates industry

The first ever UK conference uniting the global Pilates industry takes place this autumn, with the Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute's (APPI) 3rd Annual Pilates Conference at the Royal College of Physicians, Regents Park, London on 12-13 November.

The APPI has gathered some of the world's most well respected and established Pilates teaching schools together to deliver a comprehensive, educational two-day Pilates conference.

The audience, which will consist of more than 300 physiotherapists, Pilates instructors, studio managers, fitness professionals and Pilates enthusiasts, will have the opportunity to take part in an intensive programme of seminars and workshops delivered by some of the sector's best known Pilates educators, along with leading surgeons and allied health professionals.

Glenn Withers, founder of the APPI and organiser of the event, says: "Traditionally, Pilates teaching schools have been very insular and protective of their methods and philosophies, preferring not to share them with other providers.

"This event marks a shift in this attitude and demonstrates a united drive to deliver a truly outstanding event which draws on experiences and developments both from within the discipline and from the wider medical and health sectors."

Sessions throughout the two days will be delivered by companies including the APPI, STOTT Pilates, Polestar Pilates, Modern Pilates, Peak Pilates, Pilates Precision, Pilates Body Europe, MK Pilates and the Pilates Foundation.

The conference also provides the opportunity for delegates to network in an informal setting at the drinks reception which will take place on the Saturday evening.
